As per unconfirmed news, the upcoming iPhone model (to be named iPhone 5) is to sport a 3.7 inches display, which will be slightly larger than than in the current model of iPhone 4.
There are reports that iPhone 5 will have a wide touchscreen, with the display stretching out quite a bit flaunting a very fine bezel on both sides.
As per the report, the iPhone version will be equipped with a rectangular button instead of a round home key, with the possible idea being facilitating gesture control.
While with a 3.7 inches display Apple will be able to retain its current Retina Display, the pixel density of the resolution of this display will be 312ppi, as against 326ppi offered by iPhone 4. However, it will very much remain above the Retina mark of 300 pixels/inch.
Other reported features include a ‘swipe are’ for Near Field Communication (NFC), world-phone functionality through a global CDMA-GSM chipset, and an inductive charging.
There is also a report about iPhone 5’s rear having a metal chassis, and not reinforced glasses.
So these are some possible iPhone 5 features that are being discussed. The only thing that iPhone enthusiasts can do is to wait for the gadget to actually appear. And they are eagerly waiting for that day.
