Creative has officially announced the launch of the ZenX-Fi Portable Mp3 Player. In a move forward for the wirelesss music technology, the Zen X-Fi has the ability to stream media from Creative’s “Public Media Server” along with MSN and Yahoo! instant messaging features.
The Zen X-Fi is available in three different 8GB,16GB and 32GB models and is priced at Rs 6,235 ($145), Rs 8,987 ($209) and Rs 10,922 ($254) respectively.
The ZEN X-Fi has a dimension of 83 x 55 x 12.8 mm and it features a 2.5-inch display with 240 x 320 pixel resolution and 16 million colors. It has a similar control layout as the original, but the navigation system is not the same as in the older version. The Zen X-Fi have a sort of mobile phone keypad for typing messages and a external memory support via SD cards. It adds 4 buttons along the edges of the D-pad and the SD-card slot is also located on the bottom.
Other additional features of the Zen X-Fi include a voice recorder, FM radio and a built-in speaker. It supports JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PNG formats for images, AAC, Audible, MP3, WMA, WAV formats for audio, and DivX, MPEG-4, Motion-JPEG, WMV, and XviD formats for video playback.
