It seems that Vodafone will not be able to carry out the planned preemptive launch of one of the most anxiously awaited gadgets to hit the Indian markets. Yes, we are talking about the Apple iPhone 3G. As you may remember, we had informed our readers that Vodafone was planning to launch the newest 3G marvel about 15 days before Airtel’s’ proposed launch date.
However, Vodafone might just have to wait in line to unveil the iPhone 3G, as Airtel has officially declared the launch date of the device as 22nd August 2008. Almost all the projections and speculations that were circling in various blogs and forums have been surpassed, with Airtel taking the lead. As of now, Vodafone hasn’t declared any pre-defined launch date for the Apple iPhone 3G nor has it disclosed the price of the handset.
