ASUS has announced the launch of the R2E Ultra Mobile PC in the Indian market. Ushering a new chapter in innovative notebook designing, the latest R2E notebook delivers a whole range of on-the-go computing needs and much more. It is a highly versatile platform based on the functionality of a conventional laptop and the user-friendliness of touch panel input on an intelligent digital writing pad.
The R2E notebook is available at the price of Rs. 64900 and it comes with a two years global warranty. The ASUS R2E notebook will be distributed nationwide through Rashi Peripherals Pvt. Ltd. and Net Place Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
Along with its 7-inch LCD screen, the R2E is also equipped with the Asus InfoPen input option. The unique stylus gives users, an easy access to record and edit images or documents as they would do normally on paper. The stylus also features eraser and mouse control buttons. Additionally, GPS( Global Positioning System) capabilities and a great number of multimedia features for personal entertainment are also incorporated with the R2E Ultra Mobile PC. It offers easy media access anytime with live TV enjoyment with an external antenna and a remote controller. For a comfortable viewing experience, the ASUS Sun Read glare-proof panel displays images and words sharply for a clear view in bright light. The R2E Ultra Mobile PC packs all these features in the form of a pocketsize paperback novel.

The notebook also features a comprehensive security feature that protects the notebook and its stored information. Data security is uncompromised with a built-in AuthenTec fingerprint scanner with TruePrint technology that reads from the live layer of skin, preventing common skin surface conditions from impairing scanner accuracy. The Embedded TPM is a hardware solution that helps in avoiding attacks by hackers looking to capture passwords and encryption keys to sensitive data.
The ASUS R2E runs on Genuine Windows Vista Edition with Microsoft Origami Experience Pack software and ergonomic hardware interface designs. Based on Intel Stealey A110 (800MHz) it features a 1.3 mega- pixel camera,1 GB DDR II RAM, and 100 GB PATA drive. The R2E Ultra Mobile PC is a power packed laptop in mini design with complete function keys on both sides of the front panel. Additionally Users can enjoy comfortable operation and access to a full set of control keys, including the mouse, scroll buttons, hot keys and as well as the on-screen keypad at the single touch of a finger.
