BenQ has announced that its latest netbook Joybook Lite U101 will now be available in the Indian market. Weighing just 1.1 kg, the netbook features 10.1 inch screen with 16:9 ratio. Some other features of the netbook include:
- 200 nits light-emitting diode back light panel.
- 8ms response time.
- User friendly keyboard, which is 90% of the size of generic notebooks.
- It has in-mold roller cover with emoticons on a scratch-free coating.
- Integrates a 160GB storage capacity.
- In-built speakers and 1.3 mega pixel camera.
- Battery life of up to 7.2 hours.
The netbook will prove to be a perfect companion for travelers who need basic computing functions. This ultra portable netbook not only focuses on internet surfing, but it also has basic applications like viewing spreadsheet documents, audio player, games and more.
The company has said that the netbook will hit the Indian market in the first quarter of 2009 and will be priced at Rs. 28,000.
