Canon has launched the all new Canon EOS 50D, a 15.1 megapixel camera, that is being called the successor to the Canon 40D a 10.1 megapixel. The Canon 50D is priced at $1400 (approximately Rs. 56,000).
According to Canon, “The 50D is the first SLR camera that uses Canon’s Digic 4 image processor. As a result of the improvement, the support hikes up to ISO 12800. The camera also features a 3.0 inch LCD with face detection, an AF system that allows micro-adjustment and an HDMI output.”
As per PC World , “The camera is well protected by a magnesium alloy body that apparently provides “environmental protection,” and is compatible with Canon EF and EF-S lenses and EX-series Speedlites. This camera is supposed to fill the gap between Canon’s 40D, aimed at ‘prosumers’ and semi-pro 5D. It also adds new features that allows users to automate more functions rather than setting up everything in the camera in order to take that perfect picture.”
