Based on the touch innovation for desktop PC, HP has come out with HP Touch Smart tx2 notebook PC, which is specially meant for people on the go.
The enhanced HP Media Smart digital entertainment software used in the notebook enables the user to naturally select, manipulate as well as organize digital files like music, video and other web content.
Ted Clark, Vice President and GM of Notebook Business Unit, HP said “Surfing websites, enjoying photos and videos at single tap, whisk and flick of finger is a different way to enjoy the digital content on a notebook PC. HP is providing an easier and natural method to interact with PC and furthering the touch innovation”.
The capacitive multi-touch technology enables the PC to act on gestures like rotate, flick, press, drag and pinch in single as well as double tap. Tx2 has a convertible design with a twist hinge, so it can be used in three odes – PC, tablet and display. Users can change the tx2 into a tablet and write, sketch, draw or take notes as well as convert the graph right into typed text by using a single rechargeable ink pen.
Weighing less than 4.5 ponds, the tx2 has 12.1 inch diagonal Bright View LED display along with HP imprint reaction design. To excel their user centric approach, HP has expanded its partnership with MTV networks. This will help the company in providing rich content through internet to its consumer. You can now view video content from 10 TV channels and online brands within the Media Smart TV module.
The service will be available from December and you will be able to watch Nickelodeon, MTV and comedy central. MTVN has further plans to make the content from VH1, Logo, Spike, Game Trailers available within Media Smart’s TV module.
Tx2 is powered by AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile processor and in –built Windows Vista Home premium. The HP tx2 series notebook stand used in tx2 enhances the usability of the notebook in stationary position. The fully configured tx2 is available worldwide with a starting price of $1,149.
