Samsung has boosted its smartphone kitty with four new Galaxy products – Galaxy W, Galaxy M Pro, Galaxy Y and Galaxy Y Pro. All of these phones run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

- Phones containing an ‘S’ in their name – It signifies Super Smart phones, and is apparently used for products that top the company’s mobile portfolio.
- Phones containing an ‘R’ in their name – It signifies Royal or Refined, and is used for those phones which feature in the premium category.
- Phones containing a ‘W’ in their name – It signifies Wonder.
- Phones containing an ‘M’ in their name – It signifies Magical.
- Phones containing an ‘Y’ in their name – It refers to models meant for the youth.
- Phones containing a ‘Plus’ in their name – It signifies that the model represents an upgraded version of an already existing model.
- Phones containing a ‘Pro’ in their name – It refers to phones that possess QWERTY, and is useful for professionals.
- Phones containing a ‘LTE’ in their name – It refers to phones that utilize LTE connectivity 4G standards, thus resulting in enhanced mobile network capacity and speed.
