After launching big screen laptops, Lenovo has plans to release a two screen Laptop. Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds is going to be the first laptop ever with two LCD screens – a 17 inch primary screen and 10.6 inch secondary screen. The 10.6 inch screen slides out from behind the main screen to provide more work space to the user. Laptop is called as Lenovo workstation , which is specially meant for users who need more space and energy to do work.
ThinkPad W700ds is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad or Core 2 extreme processor and Nvidia Quadro graphics technology. Along with this, it supports Intel Turbo 4GB.
Here are some other features of the new laptop:
- 17 inches screen has 1920×1200 resolution and 10 inch screen has a resolution of 1280×768.
- Users can fold the smaller screen up to 30 degrees.
- Total weight of the laptop is 11 pounds, which is double the weight of an average ThinkPad laptop.
- It has 8X DVD burner, pair of 250GB, 5,400rpm hand drivers.
- As the laptop is designed for graphics purpose, its graphics set up is powered by Nvidia’s Quadro FX 3700M video processor with IGB video memory.
- Keyboard has LED lights to illuminate the keys.
- The laptop also has three ports for external monitors and two express card slots.
- 1.3 mega pixel webcam on top of the display.
Along with all these features, Lenovo W700ds is a communication powerhouse with Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless networking. The laptop serves all-business purposes, and makes it perfect for user to do anything from video editing to working with high end computation and visualization programs. Lenovo is expected to launch the newest kind of laptop in this year starting at an approx price of Rs. 1,70,000.
