Nokia, the leading Finland based mobile manufacturers, showcased their latest marvel Nokia Lumia 900 at the recently concluded Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2012. Nokia have improved on previously available Nokia Lumia 800, making Lumia 900 the most powerful Nokia windows phone yet boasting of specification sheet sure to impress many.
Nokia Lumia 900 sports a generous 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack glass touchscreen display offering resolution of 480x800p with 160M colours supported, with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. On the outside, Lumia 900 receives sleek, rubberized and super attractive finishing, with the dimensions of 127.8mm x 68.5mm x 11.5mm making it longer, broader but half an inch more thinner than Nokia Lumia 800. Lumia 900 has a 8MP primary camera at its rear donning Carl Zeiss lens with autofocus and dual LED flash, while a 1.3MP secondary camera at front perfect for video calling. It has dedicated hardware keys for volume control and camera.
On the inside, Lumia 900 runs on 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Scorpion Processor that powers the famous Nokia Mango v7.5 OS. Powered by a Standard 1830 mAh Li-Ion battery, guaranteed to provide a standby time, talk time and music play time of up to 300 hours, 7 hours and 60 hours respectively. Like most of the Windows phone, Lumia 900 also uses the Metro UI along with Live Tiles to reflect real time updates from emails, social networks and other notifications directly on the home screen. Connectivity wise 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, NFC, microUSB v2.0 are provided while Internet Browsing is made possible by HTML5, WAP2.0, HTML, xHTML along with GPRS and EDGE. Internal memory of 32GB is provided with 512 ROM. Other features include Compass, Proximity Sensor, Geo-Tagging and Accelerometer Sensors among others.

Nokia Lumia 900 is slated to release in India by 19th March 2012. Nokia hasn’t announced the price yet though that hasn’t stopped experts from estimating that it will fetch a price tag of around INR 30,000 upon release.
