Effective from the 2nd of July 2008, Samsung India has announced a 5 percent price increase on its LCD monitors. The price rise will range between Rs 250 to Rs 500. Samsung’s series of LCD monitors are originally priced between Rs. 7,500 and Rs 14,000.
Sanjay Sharma, Samsung Vice President (Sales-IT Business), said in a recent media statement that,”We plan a five per cent increase on the prices of LCD monitors. This price increase, which will range from Rs 250 to Rs 500 across the monitor range, will be effective from July 2.” He further added that “the depreciating rupee and the rising inputs costs have compelled this increase.”
The Price Rise is applicable to aSamsung LCD monitors, including the Myst, Hayden, and Touch e series models in 15-inch, 17-inch, 19-inch, 20-inch, and 22-inche screen sizes. The Touch e series LCD monitors come with exclusive features, including a contrast ratio of 800:1 for finer video and pictures, 16.7 million color support, wide viewing angle, and MagicClear anti-reflection technology.
