Samsung unveils Dual LCD cameras- the ST500 and ST550

Samsung has announced the launch of their dual LCD cameras, the ST550 and ST500. They have been designed with front-facing LCDs to give a pleasant experience of photography to users. Both cameras feature a 12.3 mega pixels sensor, 1.5-inch LCD TFT display, smile detection and scene detection features.

Each of these models offers 4.6x optical, HD video modes, 27mm wide-angle lens etc. At the back, the ST500 supports a 3-inch wide touchscreen, whereas the ST550 has a 3.5-inch wide touchscreen. Equipped with Smart Gesture User Interface technology, these touchscreen LCDs enable users to tap and browse through various features.

Both the ST500 and ST550 are capable of recording HD video in 1280 x 720p resolution at 30 frames per second in H.264 format. The ST500 and ST550 will be available to users in the US by September 2009 for Rs.16, 867 and 14,457 respectively.
