Sony has finally launched a new addition to its W-series. These are the new Cyber Shot Cameras W290, W270 and W230 and have their common characteristics in the following form:
- 12.1 effective megapixels
- Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom with 28mm wide angle lens (W230 4x/30mm)
- Record 720p HD movie clips (not W230)
- Optical SteadyShot for clearer hand held shooting
- Enhanced Face Detection
- Smile Shutter technology
- Integrate the Picture Motion Browser 4.0
- Come with built-in memory card with SD support and GPS unit kit GPS-CS3KA to geo-tag clicked photos
The W-Series is powered by the BIONZ processor and boast their extreme capabilities to offer unblemished images with high sensitivity ensured by ISO 3200. barring the model W230, the other two in the same series can record 720p HD movie clips with stereo sound to enjoy on HDTVs.
No wordings on the price factor yet but the W290 and W270 will be available from mid-March while you can purchase the W230 from mid-April onwards!
