Nokia’s stunning luxury phone line Vertu has launched its new signature collection in India on the occasion of company’s tenth anniversary. The new collection comes in three versions – stainless steel, yellow gold and hallmarked white gold.
A patented keypad containing 4.75 carats of solid ruby bearings is the main feature of the phone. The SIM drawer is engraved with a unique Vertu pattern and the release of battery cover is operated by D-ring.
Hand built in England, the Signature collection comes with QVGA OLED 320×240 pixels display, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, 3G and VoIP and email support. The Swiss Assay Office hallmark authenticates the gold and platinum signature phones, which are the only electronic devices to carry this stamp.
Frank Nuovo, Chief Designer, Vertu said, “Signature range has functions to create beautiful forms. It is the first product that has been made by a single craftsman”. It takes more than 2 weeks time to make the scratch free Vertu’s collection in a 2000° furnace.
Academy Award winning composer Dario Maranelli has composed a piece of music to be used as a sound in the Signature series. The stainless steel Vertu will cost Rs. 6,46,000, yellow gold will be priced at Rs. 1,767,000 and the white gold phone will be available at a price of Rs. 1,971,000.
