Staff Techdrunk Western Digital recently launched a new series of portable storage drives, including the “Mac-formatted My Passport Studio.” The sleek little portable drives, with dual interfaces are exclusively designed for Macs and the product will be available through select distributors in India.
The My Passport Studio portable drives are available in both 320 GB and 250 GB formats, and they come with a 5 year limited warranty, and are priced up to Rs.10,500 depending on their capacities.

Designed for Mac users on-the-go, they weigh less than 5 ounces and they are equipped with both FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces, for convenience and compatibility among multiple computers. The portable drive has an eye catching outlook with a silver metallic finish and a sleek, clean and elegant design. It has a shock-resistant enclosure for protection and also features a clever capacity gauze which enables users to know just how much space is available at-a-glance. Additionally it has a soft drawstring bag for protection from scratches and dirt.
My Passport Studio portable drives are delightfully handy with a storage capacity of more than thousands of songs, videos or photos, and they are just ideal for carrying important files between work and home or while you are on the road. The protable drive also features a formatted HFS+ Journaled for Mac compatibility, and it can back up a Macintosh laptop using the Apple Time Machine backup software utility included in Apple’s Leopard operating system.
