In a fresh overture and a new undertaking, BenQ which has been a low profile player in the laptop market, has recently launched a notebook with Windows Vista Sideshow capability and features. The BenQ S41 Joybook sports a 14.1 inch widescreen display i and is priced at Rs. 47,000.
The BenQ notebook sports a suave and trendy look with its exclusive metallic finish and it is equipped with a built-in 1.3 megapixel QEye webcam. It is enhanced with a support of upto 1GB of TurboCach and features aVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphic chipset. It offers amazing and intense 3D effects providing a superior visual performance. Lookwise the laminated Metallic finish and POP art technology features offer the choice of incorporating various designs on the Joybook’s metallic cover. The BenQ S41 Joybook also features a built-in 1.3 megapixel QEye webcam. Some other additional features include an internal microphone with noise suppression and echo cancellation functions. The notebook is also enhanced with an integrated wireless WAN, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN and built-in Bluetooth 2.0 technology and it also sports dual 1.5W speakers. The HDMI output is capable of delivering and transmitting upto 1080p high-definition resolution. Additionally it supports an uncompressed digital audio playback through a single cable.
Company sources stated that the BenQ will intially be available only in Delhi and Chennai as a part of test-marketing strategy. The BenQ S41 Joybook is also the winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in the year 2007.
