SAN FRANCISCO, USA, Apple Inc. said on Monday its new operating system for Mac computers will go on sale this Friday, as the company is looking forward to expand its PC market.
As per the reports, the new Snow Leopard software will start selling on August, 28. Previously Apple had said it would ship in September. In June quarter, the company has sold over 2.6 million Mac computers, 4% up as compared to a year ago. According to research group Gartner, Apple is the No. 4 PC maker in the U.S with its 8.7 percent market share. However, it does not rank in the top five in global shipment. The company is expected to rival Microsoft’s new Windows 7 operating system which is to be launched in October.
