Keeping in tune with the ‘Go Green’ phenomenon, Dell has introduced the all new Hybrid series in desktops. Dell has substantially reduced the size of the new desktops giving them an additional advantage of being placed vertically as well as horizontally, as a user would prefer. The Hybrid range begins at Rs.39,900/- and as with almost all Dell products, you can customize the Hybrid PC according to your own desired configurations. However, the cost would vary as per the hardware configuration changes made to the desktop.
This new series come with interchangeable covers or ‘color sleeves’ in seven colors, namely, Bamboo, Emerald, Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Slate, and is claimed to be “Dell’s greenest consumer desktop.” The new Hybrid PC is approximately 80% smaller than any conventional desktop and is also claimed to consume 70% less energy, thus making the Hybrid PC a power saving and an ecologically friendly computer.
The Hybrid series desktops offer Wi-Fi networking, wireless keyboard and mouse, a Blu-ray Disc drive and TV tuner card and load of other features, that are designed to make a user experience even better.
According to Michael Tatelman (VP. Dell global consumer sales and marketing), “The design and craftsmanship of the Studio Hybrid alone are enough to cause you to do a double take. Combine that with the performance of this little beauty and its environmentally smart DNA, and you’ve got something truly unique – something that you can make your own.” Michael Scheschuk (Desktop product Marketing) added that, “Our goal was to design a desktop that fits in the office or in the living room, or anywhere space is at a premium. We’ve created a desktop PC category that combines style, performance and a high degree of energy efficiency.”
