HTC has has hit the Indian market with its second Android OS-based smartphone, the HTC Hero. The phone is claimed to be the first of its kind as it comes with a customized user interface called HTC Sense. The HTC Hero comes with access to Android Market and hence the users can search or download applications to personalize the gadget.
The gadget supports 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touchscreen that provides resolution of 320 x280. It has Qualcomm 528MHz MSM7200A processor with 512MB ROM and 228MB RAM, which means that the users can store so many important files on it at a fast speed. The HTC Hero has Adobe Flash to enjoy easy mobile web browsing and Flash-based multimedia content.
The device comes with Gesture control that means the phone can put into silence with a gesture. Among other notable feature, this smartphone features a 5 megapixel camera, a built-in internal GPS antenna, 3.5mm audio jack and microSD memory expansion slot for expandable memory. The powerful battery of this widget offers a talktime of around up to 420 minutes for WCDMA and up to 470 minutes for GSM.
