LG recently announced that just within five months of the release of LG Cookie, it has already sold 2 million units of the mid range touch screen device.

“More than 1.2 million gourmets have had a taste of LG Cookie in Europe, and 600,000 Cookies have been sold in Asia and the emerging markets, including Latin America. In Korea, LG Cookie is currently the most popular handset with 100,000 units in accumulated sales as of March this year and record one-day sales of 4,500 units.”

It is believed that despite of the ongoing economic crisis, LG Cookie has been a instant hit among the consumers because of its decent features and affordable price.

The company is planning to enhance the device by adding more color options and expanding into other markets. At present, LG Cookie is only available in 40 countries across the globe, and expected to rise up to 60 in the upcoming months.
