Parallels has come up with Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac users, with features that the latter will find really thrilling.
The features of Parallels Desktop 7 include
- It is equipped with Lion functionality, including Mission Control, Full Screen and Launch Pad.
- A Mac user is able to access and run various copies of OS X Lion or Windows, along with their applications.
- A Mac user is able to access Flash videos in Windows on his Mac through his iPad, iPhone or iPod. He is also able to access and run – through his iPad/iPhone/iPod – various Operating Systems (OS), such as OS X, Windows, Ubuntu and Chrome, along with their applications and files, any time and anywhere.
- An automated detection system helps the user to identify the appropriate operating system for a file.
- There is a support for up to 1GB of video memory, which helps putting virtualized works to more demanding works.
- There is facility to share iSight and FaceTime cameras between OSX and Windows.
Parallels Mobile
Parallels is also about to launch Parallels Mobile, a new mobile application available for iOS and Android platforms. It can be used to control virtual environments in both Windows and Mac. It will also facilitate transmission audio and video data to mobile devices, thus making the remote working look very much desktop-like. Parallels Mobile will also focus on enabling the user to copy and paste data between platforms.
