After Galaxy S2 software update was received a few weeks ago, Samsung has now started to roll out Android 2.3.6 software update for Galaxy Ace. Previously, Galaxy Ace was powered by Android 2.2(Froyo) OS.
Samsung has released updates through their dedicated software application, KIES. According to tweets on the official Samsung KIES account, the updates are available country-wise and Galaxy Ace software update version S5830IXXLA2/S5830IODDLA1 is available for Indian users.
Samsung has advised Galaxy Ace users to be patient as like other Samsung software updates this one too, will be released in batches. If you haven’t already received the update then it will be made available to you in next few days. Since no change log has been recorded yet, we are unsure what changes will actually take place, but it is being said that the software upgrade aims at incorporating better UI, stability and few tweaks to the device. If you are one of the few lucky ones to have already received the updated software, do share the changes with us.
