Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, announced previous October, has finally made it to Indian market as Galaxy Tab 620. This brand new 7-inch offering from Samsung improves on the original, Galaxy Tab P1000.
Though from a distance, Tab 620 might resemble Galaxy P1000 sharing 7-inch screen, but changes are noticeable as soon as you pick one up. Not only is Tab 620, 35g lighter than Galaxy P1000, it is slimmer and is adorned with a new PLS LCD touch screen. Talking of changes under the hood, Gingerbread OS of P1000 has been replaced with Honeycomb 3.2 in Tab 620 with ICS upgrade most likely to be provided soon. Though at the moment, only 16GB model is available for sale in India but it is expandable up to 32GB via memory card, a feature lacking in previous Samsung Galaxy Tabs 750 and 730. It comes with two cameras, a rear 3MP camera now capable of capturing 720p recordings and a front 2MP camera perfect for capturing self-portraits and video calling. It runs on dual-core Exynos 1.2GHz processor chip that operates on 4000mAh Li-ion battery. Other features provided are USB 2.0 port connectivity, Dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, LED flash for rear camera, high speed HSDPA+ among others.
